Association for Biorisk Management-Pakistan is registered locally under Societies Act 1860. The organization is extensively engaged in BRM program in three provinces (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Punjab) since 2016.
- Assessed 78 Veterinary Diagnostic and Research Laboratories for biosafety and biosecurity risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- ABM has trained 1562 veterinary staff, laboratory technicians, researchers and lab associated personnel in Biorisk Management.
- Imparted training on sample collection, preservation and transportation to 1314 field and lab workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
- Developed BRM training manual ( English and Urdu Version) for training Participants
- Developed Training curriculum and training manual on sample collection, preservation and transportation ( English and Urdu)
- Trained 50 Community Animal Health Workers as first responders to livestock disease outbreaks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- Facilitated KP Livestock Policy Formulation in 2018.
- Trained 267 veterinary officers and Veterinary Assistants in basic labs tests and procedures.
- Conducted Biosafety and Biosecurity gaps analysis of 40 laboratories in KP and Balochistan.
- Strengthened 40 veterinary diagnostic and research laboratories in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan through provision of essential lab biosafety and biosecurity equipment, chemicals and reagents.
